For dogs we recommed K9 Advantix. Its kills fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. It just needs to be applied to a small spot along the back, in between the shoulder blades. The liquid is oil-based and will travel with the oils on your dog's skin. It takes about 24 hours to dry and a bath should neither be given 2 days before the application nor 2 days after application to make sure there are enough oils in you dog's skin to spread the liquid to all areas of the body.
